Dimensions of Portal were selected to maintain appropriate proportions in relation to the door to which it is mounted. It has rounded edges, thus goes well with lines of doors with decorative slats.
It can be mounted on one or two sides of the door. Remember that when it’s placed on the hinge side, the leaf will open slightly more than 90 deg. If the door is normally opened by household members using standard force, such opening angle shouldn’t be a problem.
And when you’re convinced by functional reasons more than aesthetic ones – on portal, you can place pots with climbing plants or favourite knick-knacks which are never to be reached by your cats again.
